As we leave 2020 behind and roll into 2021 I am sure there are parents of children all over the UK thinking

It goes without saying that all parents are concerned, but GCSE & A Level Students know their fate, unlike vocational students

As a Psychotherapist working in schools my concern for our future generations is also for their mental health, we have a duty to not only ensure those children and young adults still do their school work, we also have a duty of care for their mental health.

COVID-19 is unprecedented my heart goes out to staff and parents alike because poor mental health is often like an Iceberg what you see on the surface can often be only a very small window into how children and young people are feeling and that Iceberg can get bigger and bigger without help.

Counselling In Education is an affordable way to have a minimum of one fully qualified counsellor in yours or your school or college

Gov't has promised for years now to get Counsellors in schools, and in response to this unprecedented virus they are rolling out the 

Education Wellbeing Practitioners programme which is designed to help students with mild to moderate mental health issues

however

it is really important for everyone to know that these practitioners are not Counsellors and are often practitioners in training supervised by another body or charity.

We each have our part to play in tackling this issue with children and young people and Counselling In Education works to a proven method developed over the past four years with our sister company SWTSA 

At this present moment in time we are still working albeit remotely, we are still there for students needing help, there are many online, telephone & text services also working, however your students cannot guarantee the same therapist each time, we can, all our therapist have been fully vetted, have their own insurance and are all qualified, some are students in training on placements but they too have been vetted and are insured and are able to work with staff.

Counselling In Education and your school or college can make a real difference to the futures of your students in these unprecedented times, you can also make a difference to those members of staff who feel unable to make use of any EAP provision, we do not charge your school or college for students in placement.
